Tuscany hills



I don't really remember where I took this view from. Somewhere on the road between Siena and Montepulciano. The weather was stormy and cold, as it was fall, but the colors as the sun got lower were awesome. The warm sunlight against the cool shadowy distant hills was quite a contrast. I hope you like. More soon as I am gearing up for my first show in Balboa island, called the Balboa Island Artwalk.

This painting is of a famous little church at the bottom of the hill town of "Montpulciano" in Tuscany, which is famous for its fabulous wine, and has some pretty good cheese too. Sold

Montepulciano roof tops


As I've been involved with architecture for so many years, I can't help being fascinated with the antique buildings in Italy. As well, the chimneys have such individual character so as to suggest the style of each dwelling.
